Great bike rack

I put this on a 2010 focus sedan and it works great. It is a little difficult to put a small bike on but I think all racks are that way.Overall this thing is amazingly sturdy(much better than the price would suggest).
The only bad thing is tha a focus(or any small car)can only get a class 1 hitch, therefore having a 1 1/4" reciever versus the 2" recievers found on larger vehicles. this means that you will have to get a 2" to 1 1/4" adapter which is fine but it adds another 6" to the length of this making it stick way out. It has actually rubbed 2 different times coming out of parking lots with big/steep exits. No big deal though, just some scrates on the bottom of it. Overall, this is an excellent bike rack, and for the money it cannot be beat. Thank you Amazon for free shipping on such a heavy item.....said like 25 bucks on the UPS slip.

The Pro Series 63124 Eclipse Black 4-Bike Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier

I have looked at many bike racks this season, I have found them either weak and flimsy or far too expensive. The Pro Series 63124 Eclipse Black 4-Bike Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier is just what I was looking for.

Pros:
It is under $100
It swings out with the bikes on it
it holds 4 bikes
it is very sturdy
it is easy to mount bikes
kids bikes as well as adult bikes fit with ease
it looks good
Deltas:
The receiver pin is threaded. This requires a wrench to mount and dismount the rack. I call it a delta and not a con due to the fact this threaded pin adds quite a bit of stability to the bike rack. Even with 4 bikes on it, it does not shake or bounce. It does require the user to reach under the vehicle to tighten or loosen the pin when mounting or removing the rack (not the bikes).

Overall:
I would recommend this rack over the cheap flimsy ones as well as the $300 jobs that could not possibly perform $200 bet ter. This is a fantastic bike rack.

Great for open frames

This rack works great for bikes with open frames. I like the rubber padded cradles and the velcro straps that can be done up neatly when not in use. For the price, this rack is hard to beat.
The only drawback is that it doesn't work well for girl's bikes.
